Martyr Mustafa Koçak, who decided to go into the streets after the call of President Erdoğan, went on the road after doing a two-rakat prayer and started resisting against putschists in Beştepe. Koçak was martyred by a bomb dropped in front of the Presidential Complex, towards the morning.
The martyr was a marble mason from Yozgat. The father of 2 told his friends who had been fighting the putschists in front of the Presidential Complex for hours, “We are here to defend our country and die as martyrs.”
“I will go into the streets even if I know I will die.”
Martyr Kolçak told his wife “I will go into the streets even if I know I will die.” after he heard of the July 15th coup attempt. He did his morning prayer in front of the Presidential Complex and was martyred on the spot by shrapnel from a bomb dropped by an F-16.
People who knew him described the 34 year old Mustafa Koçak as “a person who would never break anyone’s heart.” He was buried in Yozgat on Sunday, July 17th.
The name of martyr Mustafa Koçak was given to an Anatolian Imam Hatip high school in his hometown of Yozgat and a middle school in Havza, Samsun.
