Mustafa Kaymakçı did his ablutions and went to the Bosphorus Bridge after the call of President Erdoğan. Kaymakçı stood against the putschists like a hero and was shot in the shoulder by the soldiers. He reached martyrdom as he was being taken to the hospital.
The 37 year old was from Tosya, Kastamonu and was married for 21 months with a 9 month old son. Kaymakçı worked in the Üsküdar Municipality for many years. He then left his job in the municipality and continued his life as a security officer. His favorite activity was fishing. He would often go fishing in Kuleli. He graduated from the Üsküdar Cumhuriyet High School.
He was taken to the hospital on a motorbike
Mustafa Kaymakçı went to stand against the putschist traitors on the Bosporus Bridge. He was shot in his shoulder and taken to the hospital on a motorbike. Kaymakçı died on the way to the hospital and reached martyrdom. He was buried in Çekmeköy on July 17th.
Osman Kaymakçı, brother of Mustafa Kaymakçı, said that his brother loved his country very much and added, “He loved his country more than any normal person.” Osman also said, “He loved animals. He had a fish and a bird. He was very interested in stray animals as well. He liked to feed them.”
The name of the Private Coşkun School in Kiptaş site in Maltepe was changed to Martyr Mustafa Kaymakçı Boys’ High School by the Ministry of Education.
