Occupation of the Special Forces Headquarters

The last plane in control of the coup-makers landed at the Akıncı Air Base, one of the main headquarters of coup makers which is 35 kilometers northwest of Ankara. No aircraft, including helicopters, were allowed to take off from the Akıncı Air Base. In order to prevent the aircraft from taking off from the airbase, the valves of the refueling pipes were closed, and electricity, internet, telephone and water were cut off. Coup makers opened cross fire on people who wanted to prevent the takeoff of planes. As a result, five people were martyred and 40 others were injured.
In the same minutes, former Justice and Development Party (AK Party) Deputy Ali İnci, who closely followed the incidents in Sakarya and spent the night with people in the Kent Square, harshly reacted to the soldiers who supported the coup attempt. His reaction created a tremendous impression on social media.
