PKK/PYD supporters vandalize building of Union of European Turkish Democrats, write pro-PKK slogans on wall

The PYD/PKK supporters on Sunday vandalized the building of Union of European Turkish Democrats (UETD) in the Swedish capital Stockholm and painted pro-PKK slogans on the wall of the building.

The initial police report revealed the attackers wrote "Biji YPG [meaning Long Live YPG]", "Apo", "PYD", "PKK" and "Afrin."

Serhat Firat Baran, head of UETD’s Stockholm branch, told Anadolu Agency the incident took place ahead of an event that was to be held on Sunday in support of Turkey's Operation Olive Branch in Syria’s northwestern Afrin region.

Baran said the terror group supporters aimed to restrain the event and added: "They are trying to scare and intimidate us and other Turkish NGOs. But we organized the program with the support of all Turkish NGOs."

The pro-PYD/PKK supporters in European countries, primarily in Germany, have attacked a total of six mosques during the last week.

In Germany, the PKK has been banned since 1993, but it is still active, with nearly 14,000 followers among the country's Kurdish immigrant population.

Supporters of the PYD/PKK have organized demonstrations in various German cities to protest Turkey’s ongoing military Operation Olive Branch against the terrorist group in northwest Syria.
