Donated blood units will be shipped to Gaza's hospitals on Thursday

Palestinians in the occupied West Bank have donated 3,000 units of blood for victims of Israel's genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, the Health Ministry said on Wednesday.

“Over 3,000 units of blood and its derivatives were collected for Palestinians in Gaza,” the ministry said in a statement.

The donation was part of a campaign themed “Our Blood is One,” which began on Sunday.

The collected blood units will be shipped to Gaza on Thursday in collaboration with the US-based organization Rahma Worldwide, the ministry said.

During three previous rounds of the campaign, more than 10,000 blood units were collected and sent to Gaza's hospitals, according to the ministry.

Rahma Worldwide, established in Michigan in 2014, provides humanitarian relief and development support worldwide, including in Gaza.

The Israeli army has continued a genocidal war on Gaza that has killed over 45,550 victims, mostly women and children, since a Hamas attack on Oct. 7, 2023 despite a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate cease-fire.

In November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
