Murat Naiboğlu, who resisted against the putschist soldiers in front of the Türk Telekom building on the night of July 15th, was shot by 3 bullets fired by FETÖ members. The martyr was taken to a hospital and underwent 3 operations. He was, however, unable to survive.
The martyr, who was 39 years old, had been married for 10 years. Naiboğlu was the father of two children, aged 9 and 4. He earned his living by doing construction business and buying and selling cars. He grew up in Acıbadem and died a martyr’s death in the district he was born and raised in.
Naiboğlu went into the streets after the call of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. He went to the Türk Telekom building located one street away from his house. When he started questioning the FETÖ soldiers, they started shooting at him. He was taken to the hospital with a delayed ambulance and was unable to survive despite all efforts.
Naiboğlu’s wife, Gülsüm Naiboğlu, described her husband as follows, “He was not afraid of anybody except God. He was fearless.”
The name of martyr Murat Naiboğlu was given to an Imam Hatip middle school in Maltepe.
