The martyr Muhammed Ambar served his military service fighting terrorists in the southeast of Turkey. Ambar went to the Bosphorus Bridge without any hesitation on the night of the coup attempt. He resisted against FETÖ terrorists. He called everyone he knew on the night of the event and said, “What are you doing at home?! Go out.” Ambar never saw his family again after he left his house that night.
Muhammed Ambar, who was a 39 year old tradesman from Rize, was married with 2 children. He graduated from Bakırköy İmam Hatip High School. Ambar was very interested in nature, travelling and taking photographs. He spent his childhood in the lush greens bordering the Black Sea. Ambar wanted to visit Rize again in August.
He named his daughter after the martyr Esma Biltaci
Ambar heard about the coup attempt from his nephew working at the Beylerbeyi Police House. He called his friends first and ran into the streets, despite his family insisting otherwise. Ambar’s family called him repeatedly, but was unable to reach him. His family received the devastating news from their neighbors. Ambar’s family went to Haydarpaşa Numune Hospital and learned that Muhammed Ambar was martyred.
The martyr had a 7 year old son and a 2 year old daughter. Ambar named his daughter Esma after the daughter of Muhammed Biltaci, who was one of the martyred Ikhwan leaders.
Martyr Muhammed Ambar was shot in three places. The funeral was held in the Şirinevler Ulu Cami on July 17, 2015.
The name of Martyr Muhammed Ambar was given to an Imam Hatip middle school in his hometown Çayeli, Rize and a girls Anatolian Imam Hatip high school in Bakırköy, Istanbul from which he had graduated from.
