Turkish security forces killed, captured or detained 44 PKK terrorists last week in nationwide operations, the Interior Ministry said Monday.
According to a statement, the security forces launched almost 1,260 operations against terrorist organizations between Oct. 23 and Oct. 30.
Nineteen PKK terrorists were killed, 12 others were captured and 13 more surrendered to the security forces.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- resumed its armed campaign against Turkey in July 2015.
Since then, it has been responsible for the deaths of more than 1,200 Turkish security personnel and civilians, including a number of women and children.
