Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama on Saturday said Iran had carried out another cyberattack on the country.
"Another cyberattack was carried out on TIMS (Albania's Information Management System) last night by the same attacker, which was revealed and condemned by Albania's friendly and allied countries. We work with our allies every day to make our digital systems impenetrable. We're working nonstop," said Rama on social media.
TIMS records entry and exit at Albania's border gates.
This is the second time this year a cyberattack has taken place in the country. Albanian authorities announced in July that the country had suffered a massive cyberattack that was suspected to have been synced and carried out from abroad.
The Albanian National Information Society Agency temporarily closed and later reopened access to online public services and some government websites due to the attack.
Albania announced on Wednesday that it had decided to sever diplomatic relations with Iran in response to the cyber-attack on their digital infrastructure, following which the Iranian embassy staff in Tirana evacuated the premises.
