Number of real estate sales in Türkiye last year up 3.9% from 2023, showing continued growth in sector
Some 3.06 million real estate properties were sold in Türkiye in 2024, up from 2.95 million the previous year, according to a tally by Anadolu.

The number of transactions made in land registry offices in Türkiye in 2024 was 18.8 million, up from 18.28 million the previous year.
While the month with the highest number of transactions was December with 2.07 million, the lowest was June with 1.07 million.
In 2024, fee income from real estate property sales in Türkiye topped 91.6 billion Turkish liras ($2.59 billion).
Together with other transactions, total land registry fee revenues in 2024 jumped 60% compared to the previous year to over 96.13 billion Turkish liras ($2.72 billion).
Istanbul saw the most real estate sales in 2024 with 358,000, followed by the capital Ankara with 210,000 and the Aegean city of Izmir with 145,000.
Istanbul, Türkiye's commercial capital, also ranked first in terms of revenue from transactions at the land registry office, with over 27.5 billion Turkish liras ($778 million), followed by 9.8 billion Turkish liras ($280 million) in Ankara and 6.5 billion Turkish liras ($186 million) in Izmir.
