Bulgaria and Greece on Tuesday agreed to deepen cooperation in the fields of energy, transportation, and infrastructure.
During a meeting between the visiting Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis and Bulgarian Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Maria Gabriel, cordial bilateral relations and regional issues were also discussed, according to a statement by the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry.
Gabriel also thanked her Greek counterpart for Greece's categorical support for the Bulgarian bid to the Schengen area and the Eurozone.
She pointed out that the growth of bilateral trade to €1 billion ($1.9 billion) in the last three years is a clear indicator of improving bilateral relations and interconnectivity.
