The delegation from Albayrak Medya Holding visited Kazakhstan to promote international cooperation.

As part of fostering international cooperation, the Albayrak Medya holding delegation visited Kazakhstan. The visit to Turkestan marked an important step in strengthening the partnership between the parties. The main event of the trip was the signing of a bilateral memorandum on further cooperation between the Turkestan Akimat and Albayrak Medya, which will open new perspectives in the media sphere.


The First Deputy Akim of the region, Zulpikhar Zholdasov, and the Deputy Akim of the region, Ertai Altaev, welcomed the Turkish journalists’ delegation headed by the director of Yeni Şafak International, Ömer Kablan, who arrived on a working visit to Turkestan. During the meeting, a memorandum on bilateral cooperation was signed.




The agreement outlines the implementation of joint projects in the media sphere and the strengthening of information links between Turkiye and Turkestan. Additionally, the meeting discussed ways to promote Turkestan to the Turkish audience and increase interest among Turkish tourists in the historical homeland.

• Organizing special training programs and seminars to enhance the professional level of specialists.

• Producing joint media projects and publishing them on the media platforms of both sides.


Business Agenda: During official meetings, Albayrak Medya representatives discussed key areas of cooperation with their Kazakh colleagues, exchanged experiences, and outlined future plans. Both sides expressed confidence that the cooperation would contribute to the development of media projects and strengthen cultural ties between the two countries.


As part of the visit, the Albayrak Medya delegation also visited Turkistan TV, where the guests had the opportunity to learn more about the media structure in Kazakhstan. Turkish journalists and editors got acquainted with the principles of Kazakhstan’s media, exchanged experiences with their colleagues, and discussed the prospects of possible cooperation.




Furthermore, the delegation visited the Kazakh-Turkish University named after Khoja Ahmed Yasawi—one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the region. During the visit, they met with the university's rector, and the role of education in strengthening cultural and professional ties between Turkiye and Kazakhstan was discussed. The meeting highlighted the university’s contribution to academic exchange and cooperation in the media sphere.




Immersion in Cultural Heritage: The visit also included an introduction to the rich historical heritage of Turkestan. The guests visited the city's key attractions, including the Azret Sultan Museum-Reserve, which includes:

• The Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi

• The Mausoleum of Arystan Bab

• The Mausoleum of Rabia Sultan Begim

• The Kuldobe settlement

• The ancient city of Otyrar


The program also included a visit to the “Ethnoaul” complex, where the guests could see:

• A crafts fair

• Falconry demonstrations and camel rides


In addition to official events, the Turkish journalists got acquainted with Kazakh national cuisine and tasted traditional dishes and drinks such as kumys and shubat.

Moreover, the Turkish delegation had the opportunity to witness the traditional Kazakh game of kokpar live. This exciting contest, in which riders compete for a goat carcass, showcased the strength, agility, and team spirit of the participants, impressing the guests with its energy and dynamics.

As part of the trip, Yeni Şafak International editors also filmed Turkestan, capturing its cultural and architectural landmarks, the city's atmosphere, and the unique nature of the region.


Turkestan, with its ancient history and dynamic development, has become a symbol of cooperation and cultural exchange between Turkiye and Kazakhstan. The signed memorandum opens new horizons for partnership, strengthens bilateral ties, and creates new opportunities for joint projects.
