During the coup attempt by FETÖ on the night of July 15, Şener Dursun, who took the road to the Presidencial Palace with his uncle Mikail Dursun, wasn’t able to get to the palace due to the tanks blocking the road there, which followed to Kızılay from Dikimevi. The 48-year-old Şener Dursun, whose heart had a hard time on the area where thousands of people were resisting the tanks, was taken to the hospital. Dursun fell a martyr at the hospital.The news reached the family of Dursun, who had a heart attack, around 01.30.
24-year-old Kübra Dursun, who was a daughter of the father of two, didn’t want her father to go out that night. The young daughter, who called her mother, was answered by her mother, “Let him go out for his country, daughter.”
Following her father’s death, Kübra Dursun stated, “My father was a unique person. He let us live with honor up to this day. He never let us fall apart. His death was similar: he is dead, but he still makes us proud, thank God.”
