At least four YPG/PKK terrorists were neutralized by Turkish forces in northern Syria, Turkey's National Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.
Turkish commandos neutralized the terrorists in the Operation Peace Spring zone, the ministry said on Twitter.
Seven YPG/PKK terrorists had been neutralized in northern Syria on Monday, the ministry added.
Peace Spring (2019) is one of the three successful anti-terror operations that Turkey has launched since 2016 across its border in northern Syria to prevent the formation of a terror corridor and enable the peaceful settlement of residents. The other two are Euphrates Shield (2016) and Olive Branch (2018).
Turkish authorities use the term "neutralize" to imply that the terrorists in question surrendered or were killed or captured.
In its more than 35-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US, and EU – has been responsible for the deaths of at least 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants. The YPG is the PKK's Syrian offshoot.
