The Russian air campaign continues to kill civilians in Syria under the guise of the fight against Daesh. The most recent Russian airstrikes targeted two hospitals, one a children's hospital, in Azaz town of Aleppo province.
At least six people were killed and eight injured due to the airstrike. The airstrikes also caused heavy damage to the hospitals' buildings.
Russian airstrikes have been hitting mosques and hospitals despite the fact that medical facilities have special protection under international humanitarian law, and attacking them can amount to a war crime.
Russia began air operations in Syria on September 30 with the aim of supporting the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-assad.
Amnesty International research showed that 25 attacks in Homs, Idlib and Aleppo provinces between September and November 2015 have killed at least 200 civilians and only about a dozen terrorists.
At least 250,000 people have been killed since the Syria conflict began in 2011, according to UN figures.
