The Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK)-affiliated Democratic Union Party (PYD) has been preparing to launch an attack on the al-Bab district of the northern Syrian province of Aleppo, where the Free Syrian Army, backed by Turkey, is launching a new phase in Operation Euphrates Shield to liberate the district.
A PKK/PYD Commander, Servan Darwish, said that they will respond to the operation of the Turkish military , describing Turkey as an 'occupant'.
The harsh words of the commander followed the operation of FSA soldiers targeting Afrin, which is controlled by PKK/PYD.
The operation was supported by opponent groups Ahrar al-Sham and Saif al Islam.
An officer at Öncüpınar Border Gate of Turkey's Kilis, Ali Sucu is claimed to be one of the key people who provides weapons to PKK/PYD.
The claim triggered a clash between the moderate opposition groups and PYD supporters. The clashes left 16 people wounded; they were taken to hospitals in Turkey.
Due to the clashes, Öncüpınar Border Gate is closed temporarily.
Meanwhile, PKK/PYD terrorists are being trained by American, British and German experts, after Russians, in Afrin of northern Syria, according to Turkish Yeni Şafak daily newspaper.
The PKK/PYD terrorists also received weapons through two airports that are being controlled by the regime of Bashar al-Assad and Nubbul-Zahra district.
The U.S. also air-dropped weapons to the terrorist organization in Tafar Janna, Mabatli, Maydanki, and Minnag districts. The weapons include anti-aircraft, semi-automatic infantry weapons and mines.
Yeni Şafak sources also indicated the presence of a giant tunnel in the Khas Tel Jundur district, which is being used for weapon and human smuggling.
The Turkish military launched the operation, dubbed 'Euphrates Shield', on August 24 which targets PKK and its affiliated terrorist organizations along with Daesh terrorists.
Ankara denounces the YPG as an affiliate of the PKK terrorists which has been conducting terrorist attacks targeting Turkey for three decades and which is designated as a terrorist group by Turkey, the United States and the European Union.
However, Washington insists on indicating that YPG is their ally against Daesh, despite Turkey's warnings.
