5 killed, 10 injured as Russian airstrike hits Aleppo mosque

Russian jets hit a mosque in the northern city's opposition-controlled area; casulties reported

At least five Muslim worshippers were killed when Russian war planes struck Batool Mosque in the city of Aleppo during weekly prayer on Friday.

Civil defense officials said the Russian strike targeting the mosque in the rebel-held Al Ansari neighborhood also left 10 worshippers injured.

According to witnesses, Russian planes pounded rebel-held neighborhoods including

Bustan

Qasr, Karam al-Turab and Bab al-Qansirin.

Earlier Russian strikes which targeted two hospitals in the town of Azez left six dead and 10 injured.
