Turkey to continue supporting Turkic Council, says Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Wednesday held a meeting with head of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev and deputy head Omer Kocaman in the capital Ankara.

"Discussed 'Turkic World Vision 2040 and Turkic Council Strategy 2020-2025' study. Will host next official Summit," Cavusoglu said on Twitter.

He also stressed that Turkey's support to the Turkic Council will continue.

The Turkic Council was established in 2009 as an intergovernmental organization to promote comprehensive cooperation among Turkic speaking states.

With headquarters in Istanbul, the Turkic Council aims to develop cooperation between Turkic-speaking countries in many areas, including education and trade.
