Two road workers were killed in a terrorist attack in eastern Turkey, local authorities said on Monday.
A service vehicle of a construction firm working on the Belbuka Plateau in Catak in the eastern Van province was attacked by PKK terrorists with handmade explosives, according to a statement from the Van Governor's Office.
Two workers were martyred in the attack and eight others were injured, it added.
In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK – listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US and European Union – has been responsible for the deaths of 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants.
