Muslim American singer and songwriter Della Miles, who worked as a vocalist with several global pop stars, including Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston, announced that she had placed an order to buy Turkey’s first indigenous car.
The famous jazz singer, who converted to Islam after moving to Turkey, shared an Instagram post about Turkey’s first indigenous car “TOGG” which Turkey’s president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had unveiled on Friday.
She congratulated Turkey in both English and Turkish for the successful venture and then went on to announce that she’s placing an order to buy the car herself.
“Congratulations Turkey. I'm proud of you . The first [order] after President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is from me, I am [seeking to own the]Turkish car, I am [placing] my order from here,” she wrote on social media.
Her post immediately went viral after being shared thousands of times across social media platforms.
