11 terrorists neutralized in Turkey’s east

The Interior Ministry said in a statement that six terrorists were neutralized – two in Hakkari and four in Ağrı – while five surrendered to the authorities.

According to the statement, 269 suspects were detained within the scope of operations targeting the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) terrorist organization in the last three days.

Regarding the terror attack on a police checkpoint at the entrance of Selahattin Eyyubi Airport in Hakkari, the statement released reads:

“Two of the separatist terror organization members, who were identified as attempting an attack on the police checkpoint at the entrance of Selahattin Eyyubi Airport on the Dağlıca Road of Hakkari's Yüksekova district, were tracked by Otokar Cobra vehicle and neutralized.”
