Black and White Love (Siyah Beyaz Aşk) claimed second prize on the list

Famous for its snake charmers, bustling markets and colorful cities, Moroccans have lately taken to watching globally-acclaimed Turkish TV series.

Three in particular have captured their special attention as they have broken rating records across the Santorini of Africa.

According to Maroc Metri, a company that records ratings and views, Turkish TV series The Oath (Söz), which stars dreamboat Tolga Saritas and aired in Turkey between 2017 and 2019 managed to rank number one on Moroccan state TV “Channel 2” during the first three weeks of October.


Black and White Love (Siyah Beyaz Aşk) claimed second prize on the list and For My Son (Oğlum İçin) ranked fifth on the viewer records of the same channel.

The Oath was watched by 7 million 155 thousand people; Black and White Love was watched by 5 million 400 thousand people; and For My Son (Oğlum İçin) glued 5 million 200 thousand people to their TV screens in just one day.


Moroccans have also raved about Turkish TV series such as Forgive Me (Beni Affet), Gümüş and Under the Linden Trees (Ihlamurlar Altında) which were previously broadcasted in the country.
