Jordan’s King Abdullah II met Tuesday with Turkish Chief of General Staff Gen. Hulusi Akar, according to the Jordanian Royal Court.
The meeting took up aspects of military cooperation between Jordan and Turkey and efforts aimed at fighting terrorism, the royal court said in a statement.
Akar arrived in Amman earlier Tuesday for talks with Jordanian officials.
On Monday, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu also visited Amman and met Jordanian King Abdullah II and his Jordanian counterpart, Ayman Safadi.
The importance of bilateral cooperation and the sensitive issue of Jerusalem were among the topics of their agenda.
