Turkey has condemned Russia over the Russian attack in Idlib which killed dozens of civilians on Sunday.
"Almost 200 Syrians were killed on Sunday. They were all civilians, as were most of the total 65 victims who were killed in Ghouta last week. It is a shame for humanity, " Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said in a written statement.
Turkish Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu called the air strikes of Russia a 'so-called fight against Daesh' and told that more than hundreds of civilians had died during Russian airstrikes so far.
"Russia, which has been targeting civilians since September 30 under name of the fight against Daesh, has killed more than 600 people in 4,000 separate air strikes up to now. Also, some human rights organizations say that the death toll is above 800. At least 150 of the total 800 were children. We want all the world to see this fact," Çavuşoğlu said.
"Russia has nothing to do with fighting against Daesh. Moscow wants to hand Syria over to (Syrian President) Bashar al-Assad again. Russia does not care about what the United Nations Security Council decided. Russia's attitude shows its insincerity and nonchalance to world public opinion, " FM said.
"Moscow should immediately stop killing the civilians and moderate opponents. Otherwise, the dispute in Syria will remain the same for years and the terror will not end. But I am sure that the Syrians will deal with the Russian violence and pressure and we will be supporting them in their legitimate struggle."
Russian fighter jets fired eight missiles targeting the building in rebel-controlled areas of the city on Sunday.
Previously, Russian military jets killed at least 16 people and wounded 20 others in the Jisr al Sughur area of Idlib province. At least 11 villages in northern Syria have been totally swept off the map by recent attacks conducted by regime forces with the support of the Russian military.
Russia, an ally of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, is among the countries which involved in the conflict in Syria, which left more than 250,000 people dead since March 2011.
Russia has been conducting airstrikes in residential areas despite Turkey's objections over civilian casualties from the operations.
