Locals protested the PKK/PYD terrorist organization in Aleppo’s district Mare’ in Syria, demanding PKK to leave the region.
Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) and PKK- affiliated Democratic Union Party (PYD) terrorist organizations were protested in opposition-held Mare’, located in northern Aleppo in Syria.
Mare’ residents gathered at the district’s square in the evening, and chanted slogans against PKK/PYD.
The demonstrators, including people from neighboring villages, held posters reading “You treacherously placed the PKK terrorist organization in our villages. You will derogatively kick them out of our villages,” and “The army of Turkey are our brothers and allies”.
The demonstrators demanded the terrorist organization to withdraw from villages, districts and towns which were occupied by them, and where Arab population is high.
“This is our message to the Turkish government and state. We would like to state that we are against the PYD terrorist organization in the region,” said Dr. Ahmet Hafız, one of the demonstrators.
“Our revolution against the regime, Shiite militias and PYD in Syria continues. They are all terrorist organizations. Our revolution will go on until it achieves its aim. We thank Turkey and Turkish people for their support to Syrians,” said Advocate Mahmud Nacar.
Another demonstration took place against the terrorist organization after the Friday prayers in the Azaz district of Aleppo.
The PKK/PYD terrorist organization opened fire yesterday to the workers on a farm land, in a village in Aleppo’s Mare’. One girl was killed, and two civilians were injured in the attack.
The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the European Union and the United States.
The PKK has been conducting armed violence in the southeastern part of Turkey since 1984. More than 40,000 people, mostly civilians, have been killed in the three-decade long conflict.
