Turkish security forces detained a suspected member of the PKK terrorist organization who was trying to flee to Greece, a security source said on Wednesday.
The suspect was apprehended in a restricted military zone in the northwestern province of Edirne, which borders Greece, the source told Anadolu on condition of anonymity.
The suspect, identified by only its initials A. K., was wanted for "making terrorist propaganda.”
In its more than 35-year terror campaign against Türkiye, the PKK – listed as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the US, and EU – has been responsible for the deaths of more than 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants.
