The Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) and Free Syrian Army (FSA) troops have completed all preparations for a possible operation in the east of the Euphrates River and are currently being stationed at seven points to purge the region of Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) terrorists.
Speaking exclusively to Yeni Şafak daily, Commander of FSA’s Manbij Military Council Adnan Abu Faysal divulged the details about the expected military operation in the region and said, “We are ready to fight with more than 20,000 troops stationed along the route from the eastern Kıraata village to the Chad, Toghar, Hardani, Avn Dedet, Mahselli, and Arab Hasan villages in the town of Sukkariyah.”
“The PKK terror organization consists of cowards alone. They don’t have a single value to motivate their militants and are always in a state of constant panic. They can only come to the frontlines with U.S troops and armored vehicles. They can’t even transfer their troops with their own vehicles,” Faisal said.
“The only guarantee of the PKK terrorists is the U.S. flag, troops, and armored vehicles,” he added.
The U.S has supplied the PYD terror organization and its armed wing, the YPG, with more than 5,000 truckloads of weapons to allegedly use in the fight against Daesh, despite Ankara’s warnings that the fact they are the Syrian offshoots of the PKK terror organization.
Stressing the U.S.-backed Manbij Local Council’s terror link and illegitimacy he said, “The U.S has given legitimacy to terrorism to stay in the region. A council that consists of PKK’s Qandil cadre cannot represent Manbij. We are making all our preparations to put an end to this occupation and looting process.”
The Manbij Local Council is affiliated to the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which is made up of PKK/YPG terrorists, in northern Syria.
The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the European Union and the United States.
