The Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) has issued a written statement emphasizing the significance of the gendarmerie, police and village guards cooperating, saying that all these parties will continue fighting against terrorism together following the Istanbul attacks that claimed 38 lives.
"We will continue fighting against terrorism until the last terrorist is neutralized," the statement said.
There were two blasts 45 seconds apart, with one bomb self-detonated by a suicide bomber in central Beşiktaş district's Maçka Park, and the other a car bomb that was exploded in a nearby street.
Ankara indicated the possible role of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorists in the attacks.
However no terrorist organization has yet claimed responsibility for the attacks.
