A terrorist, in the grey category of the Ministry of Interior’s “Wanted Terrorists” list, surrendered to security forces in Turkey’s south eastern province of Siirt.
Turkish Armed Forces said in a statement that a terrorist escaping from the separatist terror organization PKK yesterday surrendered to security forces in the Pervari district. The terrorist was listed in the grey category of the “Wanted Terrorists” list of the Ministry of Interior.
Security forces also seized a Kalashnikov infantry rifle and 60 cartridges in the land search in Beytüşşebap in the province of Şırnak, and found 11 ammunitions belonging to a RPG-7 rocket-propelled grenade, 425 PKS machine gun cartridges, one tube and a great deal of miscellaneous materials in a shelter in the rural area of Şemdinli in the province of Hakkari.

Turkish Armed Forces stated that the operation launched in Siirt and Şırnak is ongoing.
Within the scope of the operation launched on June 12 by security forces, 11 terrorists surrendered to authorities. Among them is Orhan Bilen, so-called platoon commander of the separatist terror organization, who was captured on camera.
The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the European Union and the United States.
The PKK has been conducting armed violence in the southeastern part of Turkey since 1984. More than 40,000 people, mostly civilians, have been killed in the three-decade long conflict.
