Israeli army has pursued a brutal offensive against Gaza since October 2023, killing more than 53,700 Palestinians

At least 68 Palestinians were killed Thursday in fresh Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip, according to medics.

The Israeli army killed eight Palestinians in two separate airstrikes in northern and central Gaza.

It was preceded by the killing of six Palestinians in an Israeli airstrike targeting the home of the Dardouna family in the town of Jabalia in northern Gaza, according to medical sources cited by Anadolu.

The Civil Defense in Gaza described the attack as a “horrific massacre,” saying that more than 50 people remain trapped beneath the rubble of the four-story building.

Search operations have been halted due to a lack of heavy machinery needed to extract victims from under the debris.

During the early morning and daytime hours, Israeli airstrikes killed 54 Palestinians in multiple raids across various parts of the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, a large fire broke out at the medicine warehouse of Al-Awda Hospital in Tel al-Zaatar following a direct Israeli strike, raising fears of a medical disaster.

The Israeli army, rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, has pursued a brutal offensive against Gaza since October 2023, killing over 53,700 Palestinians, most of them women and children.

The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
