Security forces remand 62 Daesh suspects in Istanbul

Counterterrorism teams took 62 foreign nationals into custody after launching simultaneous operations across 12 addresses in eight districts of Istanbul.

Many Daesh documents and digital material were seized during the operation.

The teams from Istanbul police’s counterterrorism branch carried out the operations against suspects linked to Daesh.

Over 319 people have lost their lives in Daesh attacks in Turkey, where the terror organization has targeted civilians in suicide bomb, rocket and gun attacks.
