The gunman responsible for the attack on New Year's celebrations at the Reina nightclub in Istanbul Eve has been arrested after close to one month in custody
Abdulgadir Masharipov, the gunman behind the Reina nightclub attack in Istanbul, was arrested on Saturday in Istanbul nearly one month after he was captured
The terrorist will be sent to Silivri Prison, a high-security state correctional complex. He was charged with attempting to change the constitutional order, 39 accounts of homicide, being a member of the Daesh terrorist organization and possession of unlicensed heavy weapons.
Masharipov was captured in a police operation on a residence in the Istanbul district of Esenyurt.
Police detained dozens of people in connection with the attack in which 39 people were killed and 69 wounded in the early hours of New Year's Day.
