Turkey recently launched a joint venture to build its first domestically-produced car
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received American aerospace manufacturer SpaceX's CEO, Elon Musk, at the Presidential Complex in Turkey's capital Ankara on Wednesday.The meeting comes after the president announced plans to launch Turkey’s first domestically manufactured car.
No information has been given regarding the content of the meeting.
Elon Musk, born in South Africa and ranking as the 21st wealthiest man, is also chief executive of electric car maker Tesla.

The president announced that five firms - Anadolu Group (Isuzu), BMC, Kıraça Holding (Karsan Automotive) Turkcell and Zorlu Holding (Vestel) - formed the Joint Venture Group.
