Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has postponed his scheduled visit to Kazakhstan following the terrorist attacks in Istanbul that left 38 people dead and 155 others wounded. The Turkish Presidency did not announce a new date of visit.
The Presidency's statement came after the two bomb attacks - 45 seconds apart - shook Istanbul, with one of bombs self-detonated by a suicide bomber in central Beşiktaş district's Maçka Park, and the other a car bomb that was detonated in a nearby street.
No terrorist organization has yet claimed responsibility for the attacks however Ankara indicates the possible role of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorists.
