A reception was held in the Turkish capital Wednesday for Bulgaria's National Day.
The reception at the Bulgarian Embassy in Ankara was hosted by Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz, Chief of General Staff Gen. Metin Gurak, Deputy Foreign Minister Mehmet Kemal Bozay, Bulgarian Ambassador to Ankara Anguel Tcholakov and other guests.
Tcholakov said Türkiye and Bulgaria are “neighbors, partners and allies.”
"If I were to summarize our relationship in one sentence, I would say, 'We are together and stronger,” he said.
Tcholakov said the two countries have established strong partnerships in energy, defense, border security, investment trade and culture.
The countries managed to set a “good example” and “good neighborly relationship” consisting of success stories that were shown to the region, Europe and the world, he added.
