On October 13, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin sent a letter to Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant and Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer. In it, they hinted that continued obstruction of humanitarian aid, including medicine and food, to Gaza could impact weapons supplies. Yet, the warning remains vague, without clear consequences.
The letter gives Israel 30 days to improve humanitarian conditions in Gaza. However, back in March, Israel had already provided written assurances to the Biden administration that they wouldn't block aid. More than six months have passed, and Israel hasn’t changed its behavior. The U.S. hasn't changed either, as weapons shipments to Israel have continued uninterrupted.
It’s clear this letter is nothing more than a PR stunt to make it seem like Biden is trying to help Gazans. Everyone knows that Israel has been using hunger, thirst, and a lack of medicine as tools of genocide, so is the Biden administration truly unaware? Meanwhile, the American media's portrayal of the “Blinken-Austin letter” as a serious warning to improve conditions is downright nauseating.
Reports from U.S. State Department agencies working on humanitarian aid have documented that Israel is deliberately obstructing aid convoys, suggesting that these blockages should stop arms shipments. But Blinken, ignoring these reports, has falsely told Congress that there is no reason to stop the weapons flow.
By the time the 30-day deadline passes, on November 13, the U.S. elections will already be over, and Biden, whose political life will end in January 2025, won’t need the "Israel Lobby" anymore. However, for Biden to halt arms supplies to Israel, he would need to reset his entire political memory and moral compass. And he doesn’t seem capable of that.
The only consistent action from the Biden administration is to maintain military, financial, and diplomatic support for Israel at all costs. Any criticism directed at Israel is nothing more than empty words, meant to pacify internal and global backlash. By pretending to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Biden is merely buying time for Israel to complete its genocide against Palestinians. This has been Biden’s play for over a year.
Biden, who once said, "You don’t have to be Jewish to be a Zionist. I’m a Zionist," has held the same political stance toward Israel since the 1970s. His response to Israel’s indiscriminate attacks, including those in Lebanon, has never reflected any humanitarian, moral, or ethical concerns.
For the babies, children, elderly, and sick Palestinians left without food, water, medicine, or electricity, the “30-day waiting period” simply means death. In Gaza, where sewage and drinking water infrastructure has been destroyed, hospitals bombed, and healthcare workers killed, only doctors can truly understand the devastating consequences of this waiting period.
I have no doubt that the Zionists have calculated which organs will fail or how long it will take for people to lose their health beyond recovery due to starvation, dehydration, and lack of medicine. The consistent obstruction of aid in Gaza, which has been turned into a “concentration camp” for decades, points to a “Medical Genocide” plan.
What’s happening in Gaza would make even Nazi doctor Josef Mengele, known as the “Angel of Death” for his inhumane experiments on Jewish babies in concentration camps, rise from his grave.
