
List includes detainees serving life and high-term sentences, as well as Gaza prisoners arrested after Oct. 7, 2023
The Palestinian resistance group Hamas on Friday released the names of 183 Palestinian detainees in Israeli jails who are slated to be freed on Saturday as part of the ceasefire and prisoner swap deal with Israel.
In a statement, the Hamas-run Prisoners' Information Office said those set to be freed include 18 serving life sentences, 54 serving long-term sentences, and 111 Palestinians from Gaza who were arrested after Oct. 7, 2023.
According to the statement, 54 of the prisoners set to be released on Saturday are Fatah members, eight are Hamas members, six are affiliated with the Islamic Jihad, two belong to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), and two are from the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP).
It also stated that seven of the prisoners would be deported after their release from Israeli jails.
