Pakistan Air Force Chief Mujahid Anwar Khan met Turkish Chief of General Staff Gen. Hulusi Akar in capital Islamabad on Saturday, during which he vowed to continue cooperation in the field of aviation and military training.
In an official statement released by the Pakistani military’s media wing, Khan, who met Gen. Akar at the Pakistan Air Force headquarters, highlighted that both countries enjoy cordial and brotherly relations, and reiterated the resolve to further boost the existing cooperation.
Earlier, when the Turkish military chief arrived at the headquarters, Pakistan Air Force presented him with a guard of honor.
Gen. Akar, who is on an official visit to Pakistan, appreciated the sound professionalism of Pakistan Air Forces and lauded its role in fighting against terrorism, the statement said.
On Thursday and Friday, the Turkish military chief met Pakistan’s top civilian and military leadership, including President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Gen. Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Army Chief Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa and Naval Chief Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi.
