Turkey will show off its latest defense products at Southeast Asia’s leading defense exhibition, Defense Security 2017, set to start in Bangkok, Thailand on Monday.
Over 400 leading defense companies and security firms from 50 countries are expected to attend the event, which will run through Nov. 9.
Eighteen defense companies from Turkey, led by the state Defense Industries Undersecretariat and Defense and Aerospace Industry Exporters’ Association, will be present.
Turkish-made ATAK helicopters, ammunition, rockets, and missiles will be among the wares Turkey plans to show.
Establishing a national defense industry using its own resources is a part of Turkey’s objectives for its 2023 centennial.
