A military delivery was made from the southeastern Turkish province of Gaziantep to the villiages of Oğuzeli and Karkamış, bordering war-torn Syria, which has been witnessing operations against the terrorist organization with the support of Turkey.
Ten thunderstorm howitzers and an armored infantry carrier along with an amount of military equipment was sent as reinforcement for the troops positioned on the Syrian border.
The delivery was carried out with a police escort amid high security.
The delivery was made as northern Syria has been witnessing the Euphrates Shield operation which, was launched between the Turkish Armed Forces and the Free Syrian Army, with the aim to eliminate the terrorists, particularly Daesh and Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) -affiliated terrorists, from Syria.
As a result of the operation, an area of over 2,100-square-kilometers has been cleared of terrorists so far.
