US envoy Nikki Haley says Security Council to hold session on Syria's Idlib on Friday
U.S. President Donald Trump will convene a session of the UN Security Council, America’s UN envoy said Tuesday.
Nikki Haley said the session will focus on Iran. The U.S. holds the Security Council presidency for the month of September
Haley said the council will convene Friday for a session on the situation in northwestern Syria's Idlib province amid a looming offensive there by the Syrian regime, Russia and Iran.
"We hope that we are stopping something before it starts," Haley said.
