Three soldiers are martyred, five others wounded in ongoing Euphrates Shield operation; wounded taken to hospital in Gaziantep

As many as three soldiers were martyred and five others were wounded in the attack close to al-Bab during the Euphrates Shield Operation that is being conducted in northern Syria to sweep the region from the terrorists, as a support to Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army (FSA) fighters.



The wounded soldiers were taken to the hospital in the southeastern Turkish province of Gaziantep, bordering war-torn Syria.



The Turkish military launched the operation, dubbed 'Euphrates Shield', on August 24.







The Turkish military is conducting the operation amid high security measures to avoid any civilian casualties.



Since the beginning of the operation, fighters cleared and took over more than 1,700 kilometers of land from terrorists.
