Swedish mosque vandalized in racist attack

A mosque inside a hospital in western Sweden was vandalized on Saturday in a racist attack.

The attackers at Molndal Hospital in Gothenburg city desecrated the holy Quran and spilled soft drinks on the shelfs and carpets of the mosque, the mosque association said in a statement on social media.

The association condemned the attack saying it had offended and hurt Muslims.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident and footage from security cameras at the facility is being examined.
