At least five people were killed and several others injured at a music concert in the Algerian capital Algiers, local media reported on Friday.
According to Ennahar TV, the incident took place near one of the entrances of the August 20, 1955 Stadium, where thousands gathered to see French-Algerian singer Soolking.
The sources pointed out that the victims were transported to a local hospital in the capital.
The television channel also reported that a prosecutor has ordered an investigation after visiting the site of the incident.
Meanwhile, the French-language website All About Algeria reported that the dead included two young girls, while 21 others were injured.
Soolking is a French rapper of Algerian descent who is famous among youth, especially in Morocco, and is known for his song “Freedom”.
