Over 109,500 Palestinians injured in Israeli onslaught since Oct. 7, 2023, Gaza's Health Ministry says

At least 32 more Palestinians were killed in relentless Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip, bringing the overall death toll since October 2023 to 46,537, the Health Ministry in the enclave said on Saturday.

A ministry statement added that some 109,571 others were injured in the ongoing assault.

“Israeli forces killed 32 people and injured 193 others in five massacres of families in the last 48 hours,” the ministry said.

“Many people are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them,” it added.

The Health Ministry stated in its Saturday update that 499 additional Palestinians, whose names were documented and verified by the ministry's relevant committee, have been added to the overall death toll, bringing the total to 46,537.

Israel has continued a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023 despite a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate cease-fire.

The second year of genocide in Gaza has drawn growing international condemnation, with officials and institutions labeling the attacks and blocking of aid deliveries as a deliberate attempt to destroy a population.

In November 2024, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its deadly war on Gaza.
