Nine Daesh terrorists were killed, with 198 targets destroyed, as part of Turkey's operation in northern Syria to purge the region of terrorist elements
As many as nine Daesh terrorists were killed in the recent wave of strikes against the Daesh terrorist group in Syria, as part of Operation Euphrates Shield, to sweep the terrorist elements from northern Syria, the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) said.
It was further stated that on the 145th day of Operation Euphrates Shield, 198 Daesh terrorist targets were hit from land and air in the Suflaniyah and Bzagah districts.
Since the beginning of the operation, more than 2,927 improvised explosive devices and more than 40 mines have been destroyed.
Operation Euphrates Shield was launched by the TSK on Aug. 24, 2016, to support the Free Syrian (FSA), and has been ongoing for 145 days.
