IED blast kills one in Turkey's southeast

Two civilian vehicles on their way to pick up military personnel in Turkey's southeastern Hakkari province were targeted by improvised explosive devices (IEDs) on Tuesday.

The explosion killed one of the drivers and severely injured the other.

The deceased was identified as Ilhami Celik, added the source who asked not to be named due to restrictions on talking to the media.

His car was passing through the Zirvin Base Zone road in Yufkali town of Semdinli district in Hakkari province.

Celik's body was taken in an ambulance to the Semdinli State Hospital morgue.
