Azerbaijan increases defense production in 2021 by 10 pct: minister

Azerbaijan has increased its production of defense products by 10 percent since 2020, the country’s minister of the defense industry said Friday.

Speaking at an event dedicated to workers of the defense industry, Madat Guliyev said that more than 60 percent of products manufactured at the ministry’s enterprises have been exported since early 2021.

“The products of the Azerbaijani defense industry are exported to more than 30 countries,” Guliyev said. Production volume has increased by 10 percent compared to 2020.”
