Ukraine's General Staff claims ‘massive fire' broke out at loading point of Druzhba oil pipeline

Ukraine claimed on Wednesday that it struck an oil depot during an overnight attack over Russia's border region of Bryansk.

A statement by the Ukrainian General Staff claimed that the attack, conducted by units of Ukraine's Defense Intelligence and Unmanned Systems Forces, caused a “massive fire” at a loading point of the Druzhba pipeline, one of the biggest oil pipeline networks in the world.

The statement further claimed that the main function of the facility targeted is the reception, storage, distribution, and shipment of diesel fuel to tanker trucks and rail transport.

It also claimed that it is being actively used to supply the Russian army.

Bryansk Governor Aleksandr Bogomaz said on Telegram that an overnight drone attack in the region resulted in a fire at a production facility, which he noted was later extinguished.

Elsewhere, the Russian Defense Ministry claimed that it downed 14 Ukrainian drones during an overnight attack on the region.
