The Turkish military has stated on Thursday that as many as 94 Daesh and nine Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK)-affiliated Democratic Union Party (PYD) targets were hit on the 65th day of the Euphrates Shield operation being conducted in northern Syria to sweep terrorists from the area.
The same day, two Free Syrian Army (FSA) fighters were martyred and 16 others were wounded.
Recently, the Jabal Khirbat al Kanisah neighborhood, a mountainous area located south of the Akhtarin region, was taken under control.
Also fighters are clearing the region from the mines that were located by the Daesh terrorists.
The Euphrates Shield operation was initiated to sweep the terrorist elements from northern Syria, as a support to the Free Syrian Army (FSA).
Since the beginning of the operation, around 1,305 square kilometers have been cleaned from the terrorist elements.
In 65 days, also as many as 164 residential districts have come under the control of the moderate opposition with Turkey'support.
